Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sgt Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klayd Kol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kol slaps away a takedown attempt from Slaughter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kol looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Slaughter tries to clinch but Kol moves out of range.
Kol circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kol counters with a nice body shot.
Slaughter shoots in and drives through. Kol sprawls well.

Kol pushes Slaughter up against the ropes in a clinch.
Kol tries to circle away but Slaughter has him pinned against the ropes.
Kol stalling the fight.
Slaughter taking a breather.
Kol wants to take the fight to the mat but Slaughter manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Slaughter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kol after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sgt Slaughter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slaughter tries to circle away but Kol has him pinned against the ropes.
Kol lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Slaughter.
Slaughter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kol smiles and moves away.
Slaughter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kol.

Slaughter tries to clinch but Kol moves out of range.
Slaughter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kol sprawls well. Kol wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slaughter gets slowly back to his feet.

Slaughter tries to keep at a distance but Kol has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kol tries to pull guard but Slaughter won't allow it.
Slaughter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kol avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Slaughter missing with knees to the body.
Slaughter is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Slaughter misses with a knee to the head.
Kol is trying to break the clinch but Slaughter has him pressed against the ropes.

Slaughter tries to pull guard but Kol won't allow it.

Slaughter jumps into guard, dragging Kol to the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Slaughter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kol's guard.
Slaughter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kol works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Slaughter advances to half guard.

Slaughter is looking for a kimura but Kol is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Slaughter to get the leverage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slaughter working over Kol with some ground and pound. Kol looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Slaughter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kol tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Slaughter!
