Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Velcrow Mercades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercades kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Baddest- Krispy Kreme. Velcrow Mercades is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Mercades there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mercades throws a chopping leg kick but Black manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Black will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Black shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mercades manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Mercades is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Connor Black.
Black avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Black shoots for a takedown but Mercades saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Velcrow Mercades has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Black.

Black shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mercades napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mercades is trying to control Black's posture but Black avoids it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Black is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mercades sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Black shoots for a takedown but Mercades saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Velcrow Mercades is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Black looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Black throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mercades's waist but Mercades gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Black off to one side.

Black throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mercades was covering up waiting for the punch and Black finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Black wants to get up but he can't break Mercades's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Black throws an elbow that misses. Mercades uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Black's guard. Nice move by Mercades!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mercades enables Black to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mercades manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Black shoots in looking for a takedown but Mercades manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Black's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Black struggles to land a body shot inside as Mercades controls his hands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Black is trying to force a seperation but Mercades has the dominant position.
Black has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mercades avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Black drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mercades pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Mercades's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mercades buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Mercades can't do much from the bottom here.

Black goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mercades has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Black but great work by Mercades.

Black feints and as Mercades raises his hands in defense, Black changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Black accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Velcrow Mercades.
I think Mercades has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
