Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elias Eberhard!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ruben Owth!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eberhard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Owth sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Eberhard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Owth manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Owth wants to improve his position but instead Eberhard has moved into half guard.
Owth is concentrating on defense, preventing Eberhard from advancing position.
Eberhard passes the guard and advances to mount!
Eberhard is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Owth can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Owth tries to hold on but Eberhard postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eberhard misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Owth wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Eberhard.
Owth bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Owth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eberhard works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Owth trying to control but Eberhard is working from the bottom.
Eberhard tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Owth working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Eberhard's head.
Owth with a flurry of punches that miss.

Eberhard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Owth thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Eberhard's head.
Owth thows a huge punch but Eberhard dodges it nicely.

Owth is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Owth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Eberhard avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Owth.

Eberhard is trying to get back to full guard.
Eberhard blocking the ground and pound attempt from Owth.
Eberhard is refusing to be controlled, as Owth sits in half guard.
Owth not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Owth passes to full mount!
Owth looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Owth is landing with some decent strikes but Eberhard is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Eberhard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Owth putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Eberhard is looking to get to half guard.

Owth throwing strikes here but Eberhard is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Eberhard is trying to escape the mount.

Owth landing shots from mount.
Eberhard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Owth thowing shots but they're missing.
Owth landing strikes from the mount and Eberhard is in trouble!

Owth working for a guillotine from mount but Eberhard is in no mood to give up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Eberhard wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Owth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruben Owth dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Eberhard has a takedown stuffed.
Owth swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Owth changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Eberhard steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Owth. That one must have hurt.
Owth tries to close the distance and clinch up but Eberhard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Owth throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Owth has closed the distance and engaged Eberhard in a clinch.
Owth lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Owth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eberhard with a poor takedown
and Owth counters with an outside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Owth connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Owth tries to clinch up.
Eberhard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Owth.

Owth lands a big head kick that sends Eberhard tumbling to the mat! Owth takes a step backwards and waves Eberhard back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Eberhard is rocked!


It looks like Elias Eberhard has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eberhard takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oh Eberhard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Owth has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Eberhard checks a leg kick.
Eberhard seems to have got his legs back now.
Owth connects with a nice cross there... Eberhard is looking wobbly and Owth recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Eberhard to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Owth jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ruben Owth!
Ruben Owth is the new super heavyweight champion!
Ruben Owth decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
