Hernandez has chosen Dysfunctional as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick avoids the head kick by Hernandez.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hernandez. That's going to slow Patrick down.
Nice body punch from Hernandez.
Hernandez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hernandez looks to land a right hand but Patrick moved out of range.
Patrick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hernandez but Hernandez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Patrick dodges the punch combination from Hernandez.
Ramon Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patrick manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hernandez on his heels. He'll look to pass Hernandez's guard now, I'm sure.

Patrick is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hernandez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Patrick.
Patrick stalling away here and it's allowed Hernandez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Patrick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hernandez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Patrick drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hernandez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Patrick has Hernandez in his guard.
Hernandez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hernandez is posturing up here but Patrick has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hernandez tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hernandez has to tap! Slick submission there by Patrick!
