Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Bowie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huey Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman has chosen Judo Flip as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raphael Bowie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Huey Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowie fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Decent striking displayed by Bowie there.


It looks like Huey Freeman has been cut.
Bowie stuffs the takedown attempt from Freeman. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet.
Bowie thuds his right hand into Freeman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sloppy strikes from Bowie. Those never looked like landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Freeman on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bowie sizes up Freeman with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Freeman closes the distance and clinches up with Bowie, looking for a takedown. Freeman pushes Bowie against the cage but Bowie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bowie, as that shot connected.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Freeman.
Raphael Bowie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huey Freeman.

Bowie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bowie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bowie wants it to stay on the feet.

Freeman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bowie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Raphael Bowie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bowie is looking to work some ground and pound but Freeman has wrist control.

Huey Freeman's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Huey Freeman's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Our winner, Raphael Bowie, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
