PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Tutone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tutone might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nothing As It Seems. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Tutone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Franco!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tutone throws a head kick that misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tutone enables Franco to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tutone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Tutone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Franco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tutone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Franco defends it easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Franco was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Franco shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Franco was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Franco can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tutone is looking to escape.
Franco takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Franco is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tutone wants to hold on but Franco pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tutone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tutone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Franco throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tutone was covering up waiting for the punch and Franco finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Franco shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Franco. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

James Franco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to James Franco.
