The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puempel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Puempel throws a chopping leg kick but Paradise manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Paradise with a jab.
Paradise ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puempel moves away.
Nice body punch from Paradise .
Puempel misses with a low kick.
Puempel lands a head kick that stumbles Paradise and the fighters go to the mat.
Paradise is rocked!
It looks like Sal Paradise has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Puempel postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Paradise covers up, he's hurt! Puempel keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Puempel and the ref steps in to end the fight! Puempel can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
