McDonald has chosen Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch - No Remorse as his entrance music. Nate McDonald will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koira is looking to clinch.
Koira misses the shot to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McDonald.
McDonald throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Koira.
Koira tries to clinch but McDonald is having none of it.
McDonald on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
McDonald lets loose with a powerful body kick. Koira will feel that in the morning.

A chopping leg kick lands by McDonald.

Koira needs to keep his hands up - McDonald had a free shot at his head there.
Koira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDonald's waist but McDonald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koira off to one side.
Koira shoots in looking for a takedown but McDonald manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Koira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Koira takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Koira's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McDonald connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Koira scrambles back to his feet.

McDonald steps into range and cracks Koira with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Koira flops backwards and McDonald dives into his guard looking to finish!

Koira is rocked!
Koira is breathing heavily.
McDonald is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Oh Koira is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McDonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Koira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nate McDonald is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McDonald fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Koira.
McDonald feints and then cracks Koira's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Koira down.

McDonald looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Koira seems to have got his legs back now.
McDonald with the ground and pound but Koira uses the opportunity to regain guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Koira has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McDonald has passed into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The strikes coming from McDonald are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Koira on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Koira thuds his right hand into McDonald's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Koira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McDonald manages to avoid it.
McDonald keeps Koira at a distance using the push kick.

Koira will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
