Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Owen Wash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taba Tabashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Owen Wash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taba Tabashi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tabashi misses with an uppercut.
Tabashi misses with a straight right.

Wash feints and as Tabashi raises his hands in defense, Wash changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wash's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Wash scoring with punches to the head and body.
Tabashi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tabashi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Wash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tabashi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wash gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Wash drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Wash stands and steps away. Tabashi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tabashi throws a hook but Wash blocks it.

Wash gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Wash breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wash walks into a jab.

Wash manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tabashi on his heels. He'll look to pass Tabashi's guard now, I'm sure.
Wash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tabashi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Wash wants to pass the guard but Tabashi is keeping the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Owen Wash wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Wash gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Tabashi misses with a hook from the clinch.
Tabashi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wash's elbow.

Wash has closed the distance and engaged Tabashi in a clinch.

Tabashi tries to break the clinch but Wash is controlling the position.

Wash steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tabashi. That one must have hurt.
Wash sizes up Tabashi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Wash closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wash in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Wash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tabashi keeps working.
Wash will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wash throws a strike aimed at the side of Tabashi's head but Tabashi avoids it well.

Wash is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tabashi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tabashi on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tabashi is trying to escape the position but Wash is controlling the position.
Wash is looking to take a break and control but Tabashi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tabashi misses with a hook. Wash ducked under it nicely.
Wash throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wash takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Wash clinches up against the cage.

Wash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tabashi, right into the meat.
A solid body kick from Tabashi.
Wash takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wash misses with a shot to the body
and Tabashi counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Wash clinches up against the cage.

Wash breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tabashi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wash gets to his feet - Tabashi follows without any prompting.

Wash takes the fight into the clinch.
Tabashi has a couple of punches blocked by Wash.

Wash jumps guard and drags Tabashi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Wash is trying to keep Tabashi in close.
Wash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wash stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Wash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tabashi.

Wash looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tabashi!
Tabashi is squirming around, avoiding Wash's attempts to control the action.
Wash controlling the position easily from mount.

Tabashi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Wash tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Wash throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Wash looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Wash tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tabashi is squirming around, avoiding Wash's attempts to control the action.
Wash is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Wash closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tabashi quickly recovers to half guard.

Wash is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tabashi defends it well.
Wash is keen to just control but Tabashi is a slippery customer.
Wash performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Owen Wash just wasn't active enough.

Wash looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tabashi!
Owen Wash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wash lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Wash takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tabashi wants to try and get back to his feet.
Taba Tabashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tabashi throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wash lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wash takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wash takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Wash forces Tabashi back against the cage and clinches.
Tabashi wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Tabashi struggles to land a body shot inside as Wash controls his hands.
A frustrated look appears on Tabashi's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Wash breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A nice combination there by Wash.
Taba Tabashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tabashi throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tabashi moves out of range of the body kick from Wash.
Tabashi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Crunch! Wash slams his shin into Tabashi's torso.
Tabashi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tabashi throws the kick towards the body but Wash avoids it.
Tabashi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wash tries a head kick but it misses.
Owen Wash is winning the standup battle so far.
Wash fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Wash closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Owen Wash showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
