Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Makunouchi Ippo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsuyushi Nakimurika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakimurika shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nakimurika was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ippo wants to get back to his feet.

Ippo is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Nakimurika has taken his back!

Nakimurika keeps control of the position easily here as Ippo tries to buck him off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I looks like Nakimurika might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Matsuyushi Nakimurika just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ippo tries to clinch up.

Nakimurika gets the takedown into side control.
Ippo pushes Nakimurika away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nakimurika gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Nakimurika is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ippo wants to get back to his feet but Nakimurika drags him back down.
Ippo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nakimurika cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ippo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Nakimurika is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Ippo won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Nakimurika off his unconscious opponent!
