The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martinez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tosen manages to avoid it.

Martinez is looking to get to half guard.
Martinez manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Martinez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tosen is aware though and is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Manny Tosen just wasn't active enough.

Tosen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Martinez throws a front kick aimed at Tosen's knee but Tosen avoids it well.

Tosen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Martinez is trying to defend but Tosen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
