Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Kuntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaisafa Masoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masoe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bang On by Boo Yaa Tribe. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masoe thumps Kuntz with a low kick.
Kuntz misses with an uppercut
and Masoe counters with a thumping low kick.
No joy there for Kuntz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kuntz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Masoe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kuntz.

Kuntz throws a lazy right hand but Masoe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kuntz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Masoe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Masoe sizes up Kuntz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Masoe does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Masoe in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
