Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Collin Challis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers has chosen We Run This - Missy Elliot as his entrance music. Collin Challis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Powers takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Challis turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Challis misses with a straight right.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Powers is defended easily by Challis.
A nice leg kick lands there from Challis.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Powers.
Collin Challis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerome Powers.

Challis feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Powerss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Powers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Powers is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Challis will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Powers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Challis pushes Powers off and gets back to his feet.

Challis feints and then cracks Powers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Powers down.

Powers shoots in for a takedown but Challis shows good takedown defense.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Powers crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Challis - the referee stops the clock and Powers gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Challis. Powers manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Powers throws a series of punches but Challis avoids them all with ease.

Challis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powers.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Powers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Challis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Challis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Powers's sensitive parts.

Powers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Challis clobbers Powers with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Powers shoots in looking for a takedown but Challis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Powers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Powers gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Powers is rocked!
Powers walks straight into a right hand from Challis - that's dropped him! Challis jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Powers from any more punishment! Powers complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
