Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Branton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Downey McCain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Branton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Face the Pain by Stemm. Downey McCain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Branton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Downey McCain!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCain has taken the fight to the clinch.
McCain lands with a left to the head.
Still in the clinch, McCain scores with a nice short uppercut.
McCain lands an elbow inside.
McCain dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Branton is trying to pull guard but McCain has him pressed against the cage.
Branton takes a shot to the head.
Branton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Branton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
McCain stalling the fight.
A quick uppercut on the inside from McCain.
Branton is working for takedown but McCain is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Branton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCain scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A frustrated look appears on Branton's face as he tries to break the clinch.
McCain trying to land knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A quick uppercut on the inside from McCain.
McCain digs a right hand into Branton's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Branton's gas tank.
McCain scores with an uppercut up the middle.
The referee calls for McCain to work.
McCain drops Branton onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Branton is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Branton is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCain breaks from the clinch.
Oh Branton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Branton pivots, looking for a leg kick but McCain is out of range and Branton settles back down.
McCain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Branton swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Branton seems to have got his legs back now.
McCain moves out of range of the body kick from Branton.
McCain comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McCain cracks Branton with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Branton looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McCain finish him?
Branton takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Branton is breathing heavily.
McCain lands a slapping body shot.
McCain pushes Branton up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McCain's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
McCain lands an elbow inside.
McCain drops Branton onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Branton is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
McCain stalling against the cage.
McCain tries to land a knee to the head but Branton blocks with his arms.
McCain softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Branton is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McCain lands on the inside with an uppercut.
McCain creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Branton's defenses.
McCain lands a right hand that snaps the head of Branton backwards.
McCain has Branton pressed against the cage, preventing Branton from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Branton letting McCain take a breather here.

McCain scores with a hook to the body.
Branton is trying to break free.
McCain missing with knees to the body.
McCain is stalling here.
McCain lands a nice shot to the body.
Branton tries to circle away but McCain has him pinned against the cage.
Branton takes an elbow to the forehead.
McCain breaks the clinch.
McCain scores with a kick to the midsection.
McCain is looking to slow Branton down with leg kicks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McCain throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Branton on the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
McCain throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
McCain lands a nice looking kick to the body. Branton takes a step back to recover.
McCain connects with a nice looking jab.
McCain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Branton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick by Branton misses
and McCain counters with a good low kick that Branton was not able to check.
McCain fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Branton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McCain lands a glancing blow to the side of Branton's head.
McCain throws a nice looking combination but Branton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McCain shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Branton takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - McCain sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Branton bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Downey McCain!
