The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maci works over Dravinski's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Roman Dravinski has been cut.
Dravinski darts in trying to clinch

and Maci counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Maci has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dravinski clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Dravinski manages to reverse the position and now he's in Maci's guard. Nice work there by Dravinski.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dravinski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

and Maci holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Maci is trying to pull guard but Dravinski has him pressed against the cage.

Dravinski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maci shoots in for a double leg but Dravinski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Maci. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maci lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dravinski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maci as he avoids it easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dravinski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Dravinski counters with a nice body shot.
Dravinski throws a head kick but Maci moves out of range.

Maci rushes Dravinski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Dravinski throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Dravinski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Dravinski jumps into guard, dragging Maci to the mat.
Dravinski wants to stand and escape but Maci is having none of it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dravinski is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Maci throws a strike but Dravinski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dravinski lands a couple of digs.

Dravinski misses with a body shot.
Maci lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dravinski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dravinski closes the distance and clinches up with Maci, looking for a takedown. Dravinski pushes Maci against the cage but Maci circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dravinski finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Maci counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dravinski won't be happy with that.
Mario Maci has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Dravinski.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dravinski is trying to control Maci's posture but Maci avoids it.

Maci is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dravinski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Maci seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dravinski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Maci decides to stand and escape the position.
Dravinski digs a good body shot into Maci's ribs.

Maci closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Maci is keen to just control but Dravinski is a slippery customer.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Maci has his hands clasped together but Dravinski extends an breaks Maci's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dravinski.
