Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Big and Red by EC as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dakota Weston had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weston throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Weston misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Smith is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Weston knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Weston has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Smith but great work by Weston.

Weston decides to stand back up. Weston steps back and let's Smith get back to his feet.

Weston throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Weston fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Weston is now in Smith's guard.

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Weston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Smith is tightening it up a little... Weston has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Weston reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Weston taps out! Nice BJJ there by Smith!

Matthew Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
