The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharif stalks Yanenko and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yanenko's face. Yanenko staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Emil Yanenko has been cut.
Jamel Sharif seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Sharif. That snapped Yanenko's head back.
Sharif lands a body shot.
Sharif dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sharif throws a left that rocks Yanenko and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sharif dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Yanenko regain composure!

Sharif dances in with a quick combination. Yanenko is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Sharif snaps Yanenko's head back. Yanenko stumbles backwards against the cage. Sharif steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Yanenko's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Yanenko just didn't come prepared.
