The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zergopalitix is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sanguine's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zergopalitix connects with a nice short shot to Sanguine's temple.
