PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erin Dolor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erin Dolor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jay Warner!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dolor gets a clinch.

Dolor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Warner misses with a takedown attempt
and Dolor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dolor wants to clinch up but Warner keeps it at a distance.
Dolor looks to land a left hand but Warner moved out of range nicely.

Dolor has Warner up against the cage in a clinch.
Warner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dolor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dolor breaks from the clinch.

Dolor moves into the clinch successfully.
Warner is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dolor is defending well.
Erin Dolor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Warner.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dolor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Warner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dolor moves in looking to clinch but Warner pushes him off.
Warner takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Dolor doesn't manage to clinch there - Warner circles away.
Horrible takedown by Warner or perhaps it was just good defense by Dolor which made him look bad.
Dolor tries to close the distance and clinch but Warner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dolor is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Warner circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Warner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dolor sprawls well. Dolor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Warner gets slowly back to his feet.
Dolor closes the distance but Warner moves to the side

and Warner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dolor won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Warner is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Dolor is trying to escape and Warner transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Dolor is forced to tap! Nice work there by Warner! Very nice indeed!
