Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ron Burgundy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Summers !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Burgundy!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Summers .
Summers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burgundy defends it nicely.
Summers really is a fat lump.

Burgundy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Summers is pressing down on Burgundy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Burgundy looking to sit in guard and control but Summers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Burgundy is looking to sweep but instead, Summers has passed into half guard.
Summers content to control rather than advance.

Burgundy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Summers . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Summers seems to be working for a kimura but Burgundy defends the submission attempt.

Summers slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Burgundy tries to escape but Summers has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Summers has the hooks in. Burgundy is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


A punch combination from Burgundy misses.
Burgundy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Summers as he jumps to the side.
Burgundy throws a push kick but Summers slaps the foot to one side.
Burgundy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Summers avoids it really well and circles away.
Summers misses with a combination
and Burgundy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Summers rushes Burgundy and presses him up against the cage.

Summers manages to break the clinch.
Burgundy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Summers is fending him off so far but Burgundy persists. Nope, Summers circles away and we're back to standing.
Nick Summers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Burgundy.

Summers takes the fight into the clinch.
Burgundy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Burgundy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Summers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nick Summers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Summers has Burgundy pressed against the cage, preventing Burgundy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Summers pulls guard effortlessly.
Summers manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Summers fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Summers sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Summers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Burgundy is trying to stand up.
Burgundy is bucking up trying to escape but Summers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Summers controlling the position easily from mount.
Burgundy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Summers in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Summers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Burgundy is surviving well by controlling Summers 's body position as best he can.

Burgundy tries to lock up and control but Summers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Summers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Nick Summers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Summers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Nick Summers showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Summers , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
