PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sub Mityou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Android One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One with a lazy takedown attempt

and Mityou counters with a nice double leg into side control. One won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mityou controls the position from side control.
One should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mityou stands up and beckons One to his feet.
Mityou tries to clinch but One is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mityou is going oldschool here, as he tries to force One to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so One shrugs it off.
One is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sub Mityou .

Mityou drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mityou not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mityou seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down One for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sub Mityou has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Mityou counters with a shoot takedown. One fights it but they end up in guard.

Mityou is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mityou will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

One is breathing heavily.

Mityou swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by One.
Mityou tries to clinch but One is having none of it.

Mityou closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into One's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mityou is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mityou distracts One with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mityou is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around?
One can't keep his opponent in guard - Mityou advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sub Mityou overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We're going to have a standup here because Sub Mityou wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Mityou perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mityou has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

One gets caught napping as Mityou dives in and scores a takedown. One manages to retain guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
