The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McThornbody tries to clinch but William is having none of it.
McThornbody feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to William's calf.
William forces McThornbody back against the cage and clinches.
William can't find room to land a body shot as McThornbody controls the action.
William blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
McThornbody stops a takedown attempt from William.
William lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
William scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
William throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
William sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McThornbody defending well though.
William drops an elbow to the side of McThornbody's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McThornbody is in trouble now - William has advanced to mount!
William tries to control but McThornbody wriggling away.

William is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! McThornbody is forced to tap! Great finish!
