Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Funk McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Multi Punch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McTavish has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Funk McTavish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Multi Punch!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTavish shoots in for a double leg but Punch sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McTavish changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Punch tries to avoid it but McTavish manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Punch to the ground. Punch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McTavish is looking to clinch but Punch is avoiding it.

Punch drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McTavish takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
McTavish is breathing heavily.

Punch wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McTavish, who protects the arm well.
McTavish is trying to control Punch's posture but Punch avoids it.

Punch working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Punch remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Punch is looking to take a break and control but McTavish is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Punch is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McTavish is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

McTavish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Punch's waist but Punch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McTavish off to one side.

Punch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McTavish does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Punch is taking a breather. McTavish says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Punch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McTavish sees it coming and defends easily.
Punch tries to pass the half guard into mount. McTavish knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Punch has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
