Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby American (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Metzger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). American comes to the cage accompanied by Born in the USA. Metzger has chosen god smack as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Brian Metzger has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bobby American's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

American darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Metzger keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
American prevents Metzger from improving his position.

American drops an elbow to the side of Metzger's head.
American content to control rather than advance.
American seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Metzger for as long as he can get away with.
Metzger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
American wants to pass to mount but Metzger is defending the position.

Metzger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Metzger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. American looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ground and pound from Metzger seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

American throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Metzger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. American is in Metzger's guard.

Metzger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. American is working away from the top position though.
