PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Werner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Werner finds it's way through White's defenses.

White instigates a clinch.

White has Werner pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. White pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Werner tumbling to the mat - White dives into Werner's guard.
White advances position into side control!
Werner is working to avoid the ground and pound but White connects with a decent elbow.
White lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
White gets to mount! Werner was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

White is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Werner is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Werner flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. White anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Werner and secures both hooks! This could be bad! White slips an arm under Werner chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. White has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. White is squeezing on Werner like an anaconda would it's prey. Werner fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe White!
After the fight, Joe White was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
