Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zak Houk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozzy Washburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Washburn moves into the clinch.
Washburn drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Washburn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Houk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Washburn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Houk just stands there and leans against the cage.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ozzy Washburn wasn't active enough on the ground.
Houk throws a nice looking combination but Washburn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Houk is fighting to break Washburn's control of his arms but Washburn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Washburn wants to sweep but no luck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
