Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wan Iaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koji Okano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okano has chosen Aalto - Resolution as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Koji Okano!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okano lands with a thumping leg kick.
Okano throws a nice outside leg kick.
Okano checks a leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Okano as Iaton shoots in.
Iaton misses with an uppercut. Okano saw that one coming.
Okano is looking to land body kicks.
Okano attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Okano.
Okano ducks under a wild hook from Iaton.
Iaton dives in and grabs Okano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Okano pushes down on Iaton's head and hops out.
Iaton misses with a series of wild punches.
Iaton blocks a head kick by Okano.
Iaton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Okano as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wan Iaton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Okano wants to clinch.

That kick from Okano tenderised Iaton's leg. Iaton is trying to keep his angry face on.
Iaton avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Okano leaves Iaton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Okano attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Iaton has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Okano.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Iaton is defended easily by Okano.

Okano throws a nice inside leg kick.
Okano tries a head kick but it misses.
Iaton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Okano's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Iaton is in close to Okano's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Okano has his hands on Iaton's head, controlling the position.
Iaton working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Okano's head.
Iaton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Iaton is working Okano over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Okano seems keen to control Iaton's posture.

Iaton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Okano has control of Iaton's left arm, preventing Iaton from doing any damage.
Okano is trying to control the position but Iaton postures up.
Koji Okano has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Okano looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Okano throws a sloppy head kick and Iaton moves out of range easily.

Okano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Iaton blocks a head kick by Okano.
Okano turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Iaton fails to land the takedown.
Iaton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Iaton somewhat.
Okano connects with a solid leg kick.
Okano tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Iaton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Okano throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Okano throws a front kick aimed at Iaton's knee but Iaton avoids it well.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Iaton.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
An elbow from Iaton crashes against the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iaton creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Iaton in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Koji Okano will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Okano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Okano throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Okano is looking to chop away at Iaton's legs.
Okano fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Iaton.
Iaton throws a low kick but Okano avoids it.

Iaton closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Okano did well to prevent Iaton getting side control.
Iaton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Okano's head.
Okano is trying to get back to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Okano can do anything to dispel that myth.
Okano manages to get to full guard.
Okano is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Okano is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Iaton is looking to advance position but Okano has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Okano is looking to stand but Okano has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Iaton regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Iaton scores with a few weak punches.

Okano seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Iaton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Iaton.
Okano would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Iaton has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Okano doesn't defend quickly enough and Iaton has managed to lock this one up! Can Okano escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Iaton on a fantastic submission victory.
