Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takamoura Mamarou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Gaskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamarou comes to the cage accompanied by R Kelly-World Greatest. Gaskins has chosen Killing In The Name Of as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Donald Gaskins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaskins lands a head kick. Mamarou smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Mamarou shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gaskins as he avoids it easily.
Gaskins wants to clinch up but Mamarou keeps it at a distance.

Mamarou is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gaskins's half guard.
Mamarou takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mamarou working over Gaskins with some ground and pound. Gaskins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mamarou throwing shots but Gaskins is blocking nicely.
Gaskins keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Gaskins is concentrating on defense, preventing Mamarou from advancing position.
Gaskins is trying to control but can't.

Mamarou is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gaskins is just riding it out for now. Mamarou eventually gives up the hold.
Gaskins wants to control but Mamarou is keeping busy.
Mamarou has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gaskins gets full guard.

Mamarou drops back looking for a leg! Gaskins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gaskins manages to kick Mamarou off! Mamarou jumps back into Gaskins's guard.
Gaskins has his hands on Mamarou's head, controlling the position.
Mamarou postures up in Gaskins's guard and throws a big left but Gaskins blocks it.
Gaskins is pulling down on Mamarou's head to control his posture.
Gaskins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mamarou actively working from the bottom here.
Mamarou pushes Gaskins off looking to stand but Gaskins dives back in and keeps control.
Gaskins landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gaskins is looking to take a break and control but Mamarou is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gaskins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Gaskins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mamarou. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mamarou is looking to escape.

Mamarou kicks off Gaskins and gets to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gaskins takes the fight into the clinch.

Mamarou is breathing heavily.
Gaskins throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mamarous head.
Gaskins scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Gaskins pushes Mamarou back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mamarou drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gaskins gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mamarou wants to take the fight to the mat but Gaskins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takamoura Mamarou. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gaskins lands a nice uppercut.
Gaskins scores with a nice hook to the head.

Gaskins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gaskins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mamarou.
Gaskins connects with a solid leg kick.

A chopping leg kick lands by Gaskins.
Gaskins dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A head kick from Gaskins lands but Mamarou takes it in his stride.
Gaskins batters Mamarou with a massive right followed by a huge left! Mamarou is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Gaskins lands a final crushing right hand to drop Mamarou to the mat with a gruesome thud! Gaskins is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
