Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Liam Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liam Machin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Martin!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Martin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Machin avoids it really well and circles away.
Martin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Martin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Machin circles away.

Martin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Machin is trying to defend but Martin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Machin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Machin tries to get out of the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Martin thows a huge punch but Machin dodges it nicely.

Martin is working for a kimura but Machin is defending it quite comfortably.
Martin trying to control the action but Machin is working from the bottom.

Machin tries to roll over but Martin keeps him under control.
Machin is doing well to control the position and prevent Martin from advancing to side control.
Martin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Martin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machin is just riding it out for now. Martin eventually gives up the hold.
Machin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Martin.

Machin is refusing to be controlled, as Martin sits in half guard.
Martin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Martin is trying to control. Machin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Machin is looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are battling for position here. Machin manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Martin wants to control from the top but Machin keeps moving.

Martin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Machin dives on top into guard.
Martin wants to hit a switch here but Machin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Martin there!
Martin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Martin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Martin manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Machin tries to stand and escape but Martin is controlling the position.
Machin is thwarting Martin's attempts to control the position.
Martin is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Martin is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Martin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Martin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Machin to score with a decent uppercut.
Machin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A lazy left from Machin finds it's target.
Machin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Martin.
Martin fails to land the takedown.
Machin connects with a body shot that sends Martin's belly button to the back.
Machin fails to land with a series of punches.
Martin fails with the takedown.
Liam Machin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Martin.
Martin wants to clinch up but Machin keeps it at a distance.
Martin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Machin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Martin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Machin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martin somewhat.

Martin closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Machin walks away with a smile on his face. Martin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Martin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machin pinned against the cage. Machin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Martin looks for a takedown but Machin sprawls well.
Liam Machin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Martin walks into a jab.
Martin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machin tries to avoid it but Martin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machin to the ground. Machin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Martin shoots in but no luck this time.
Liam Machin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martin is breathing heavily.
Martin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Martin shoots in for a double leg but Machin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Machin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Decent striking displayed by Machin there.
Martin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Machin, as that shot connected.
Nice body punch from Machin.
Machin swinging wildly here.
Machin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Machin lands a jab to the nose.
Machin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Martin is defended easily by Machin.
Machin connects with a looping right hand.
Martin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Machin cracks Martin with an open hand slap.


Martin is rocked!
Machin Rushes Martin and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Martin is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Machin Piles on the pressure and Martin crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
