Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Poirier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poirier comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC - TNT. Crowe has chosen Angry Johnny & The Killbillies - Kill Again as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Poirier!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Crowe!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poirier misses with a few strikes there.
Crowe moves out of range as Poirier strikes.
Poirier throws a body punch but Crowe moves out of range.
Crowe clinches.
Crowe keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Poirier's efforts to push away.
Crowe is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Poirier is defending well for now.
Poirier wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crowe has him pressed against the cage.
Crowe connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Peter Poirier has been cut.
Poirier manages to break the clinch.
Poirier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Poirier swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Crowe makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Poirier really felt that one!
Crowe clinches up with Poirier and pushes him back against the cage.

Poirier takes an elbow to the forehead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Poirier tries to break the clinch but Crowe is controlling the position.
Crowe is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Poirier looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Crowe lands a nice elbow.
Crowe creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Poirier! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Crowe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eli Crowe!
