Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omar Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazuki Williams!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes works the jab nicely.
Williams scores with a one two! Mendes had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mendes throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range.
Mendes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mendes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Williams dives in and grabs Mendes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mendes pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.
Mendes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mendes lands with a slapping head kick.
Mendes looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mendes misses with a series of wild punches.
Mendes leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Omar Mendes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazuki Williams.
Williams takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendes tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendes to the ground. Mendes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mendes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Williams.
Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

letting Mendes counter with a right hand.

Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mendes scores with a kick to the midsection.
Mendes misses with a double jab.
Mendes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Williams's head backwards.
Mendes stalks Williams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Williams's face. Williams staggers backwards, shaken.


Williams is rocked!
Mendes gets in close and tags Williams with a short punch that almost sends Williams to the mat! Oh Williams is in big trouble! He turns his back on Mendes, trying to create some distance but Mendes rushes him, striking wildly and Williams goes down! The referee tackles Mendes into the cage to end the fight! Mendes is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omar Mendes!
