The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rivers throws a chopping leg kick but Elmo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Rivers walks into a jab.
Elmo closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Dru Rivers has been cut.
Elmo Elmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Elmo works Rivers's body with a nice hook.
Rivers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Elmo throws a nice looking combination but Rivers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Elmo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rivers circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rivers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rivers throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Rivers connects with a leg kick. Elmo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Elmo throws a lazy right hand but Rivers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rivers throws a wild body kick that Elmo sees coming a mile off.
Rivers pivots, looking for a leg kick but Elmo is out of range and Rivers settles back down.
Rivers tries to move into range but Elmo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Elmo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rivers scoring well with a low kick there.
Elmo throws a jab when Rivers was well out of range.
Elmo throws a hook but Rivers avoids it easily.
Dru Rivers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Elmo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rivers counters with a nice low kick that buckles Elmo's knee momentarily.

Rivers blocks a jab.
Elmo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Rivers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elmo.
Rivers misses with a right hand
and Elmo counters with a series of strikes. Rivers will be more careful next time no doubt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Elmo checks a low kick from Rivers.
Rivers moves out of range of the strikes.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Elmo checks a leg kick.
Elmo throws a combination that misses
and Rivers counters with a good low kick that Elmo was not able to check.
Elmo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Elmo Elmo has been cut.

A looping hook to the body misses from Rivers. Elmo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rivers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Elmo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Elmo misses with a leg kick
and Rivers counters with a solid body kick.
Rivers ducks under a wild hook from Elmo.
Rivers blocks a jab.

Rivers lands a big right hand that sends Elmo crashing to the mat! Rivers stays standing though and waves Elmo back to his feet!

Elmo is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Elmo throws a poor cross that misses
and Rivers counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Elmo out cold! What a finish! Rivers is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
