Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Sammakko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - Ready for War. Sammakko has chosen Saku Sammakko as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dwayne Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saku Sammakko!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters checks a leg kick.
Sammakko wants to clinch.
Sammakko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Waters.
Sammakko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sammakko misses with a wild combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Waters. Sammakko does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Waters counters with a single leg into guard. Sammakko didn't expect that.
Sammakko wants to stand and escape but Waters is having none of it.
Waters throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sammakko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Waters really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sammakko trying to keep a closed guard but Waters is proving a slippery customer.

Sammakko looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Waters has picked Sammakko up and slammed him! Sammakko can't keep hold of the triangle and Waters manages to pass to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Waters laying and praying for a moment but Sammakko takes advantage and regains half guard.

Waters decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Sammakko lands with an uppercut that bounces Waters off the cage and back into range.
Sammakko staying out of range there.
Sammakko digs a good body shot into Waters's ribs.

That kick from Waters tenderised Sammakko's leg. Sammakko is trying to keep his angry face on.

Sammakko moves away from the strike by Waters.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Waters is defended easily by Sammakko.
Sammakko takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Waters moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Waters fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sammakko on the side of the head.
Waters shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Waters throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Waters stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Waters wants it to stay on the feet.
Waters lands with a shot to the body.
Sammakko tries to clinch up but Waters circles away and keeps his distance.
Waters swings for the body but Sammakko moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sammakko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Waters tries to hold on but Sammakko pushes him away.
Waters is desperately trying to improve his position but Sammakko has a good base and remains in mount.
Waters bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Sammakko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Waters is aware though and is defending well.
Sammakko is looking to stand up but Waters isn't so interested in that idea.
Waters throws an elbow that misses. Sammakko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Waters's guard. Nice move by Sammakko!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sammakko wants to advance to full mount but Waters doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Sammakko trying to control the position from guard on top but Waters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sammakko throws a strike but Waters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sammakko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Waters trying to control but Sammakko postures up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sammakko seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dwayne Waters will probably get the nod.

Waters is not content to let Sammakko control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dwayne Waters just wasn't active enough.
Sammakko shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Waters throws a push kick but Sammakko slaps the foot to one side.
Waters throws an overhand right that lands on Sammakko's shoulder, as Sammakko tries to avoid the shot.
Sammakko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Dwayne Waters has been cut.
Waters keeps the fight on the outside.
Sammakko thows a body shot but no joy.

Waters misses with a wild body shot.
Sammakko catches Waters with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Sammakko fails to land the takedown.
Waters throws a big shot that misses.
Sammakko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sammakko misses with a body kick.

and Waters counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sammakko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Waters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sammakko's corner calls for a 1-2. Sammakko obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sammakko shoots in for a double leg but Waters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Waters takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Sammakko scores with a nice body kick.
Waters throws out a loose jab but Sammakko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sammakko misses with a looping left.
Nice cross by Sammakko.
Waters works the jab nicely.
Waters misses with a low kick.
Whack! Sammakko lands a heavy head kick that drops Waters. The ref tackles Sammakko to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Waters was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Saku Sammakko!
