Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Abramov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirby comes to the cage accompanied by Forgot about dre.. Abramov has chosen Sex Machine as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Kirby.
Abramov misses with a takedown attempt
and Kirby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kirby lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kirby cracks a nice hook into Abramov's ribs.
Kirby comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kirby lands a slapping body shot.

Abramov looking to score a takedown here. Kirby is defending well but Abramov drives through and ends up in Kirby's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Abramov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kirby is proving hard to escape from.
Kirby pulls Abramov in close to prevent any damage.
Kirby wants to sweep but no luck.
Abramov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirby swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Abramov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kirby manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Abramov has Kirby in his guard.

Abramov has his hands on Kirby's head, controlling the position.

We're going to have a standup here because John Kirby wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Abramov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kirby dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kirby dips to his left and cracks Abramov with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kirby throws a good cross that connects.
Kirby connects with a right that clearly hurt Abramov. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Kirby proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Abramov collapses and taps out under the pressure!
