Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Sorrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sorrow comes to the ring accompanied by Harvester of Sorrow. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roy Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorrow closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Sorrow pushes Thomas against the ropes but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sorrow.
Sorrow shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Sorrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sorrow scores with a jab to the body.

Thomas clinches with his opponent.
Sorrow is trying to force a seperation but Thomas has the dominant position.

Thomas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sorrow jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Thomas drives through with a takedown into guard.

Thomas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Thomas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Roy Thomas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sorrow, pushing him back against the ropes.
Sorrow has had enough of the clinch but Thomas keeps him there for the moment.
Thomas tries to pull guard but Sorrow won't allow it.
Thomas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sorrow prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sorrow is trying to break the clinch but Thomas is controlling him.
Thomas tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sorrow avoids it.
Thomas jumps guard but Sorrow stands there with Thomas around his waist. Thomas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Sorrow wants to break free but Thomas has control.
Thomas displaying some good clinch control by pressing Sorrow up against the ropes.

Sorrow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johnny Sorrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas avoids a punch combination nicely.
A punch lands to the side of Thomas 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Thomas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sorrow's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sorrow looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thomas is one step ahead there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Thomas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Sorrow will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sorrow is looking for a sweep.

Thomas is trying to get an arm triangle but Sorrow is defending well.
Thomas lands a decent elbow from side control.
Sorrow is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Thomas is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Thomas lands a big shot there that rocks Sorrow but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Thomas avoids the attempt from Sorrow to control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Let's hope that Thomas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Thomas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sorrow moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Sorrow lunges at Thomas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Thomas's hand.
Thomas tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Sorrow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Thomas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

I would just about give that final round to Roy Thomas.
I think Thomas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
