Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shawnn Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ursus Maritimus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ursus Maritimus was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Maritimus feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Shawnn Chen has been cut.
Chen throws a body punch but Maritimus moves out of range.

Maritimus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Maritimus is looking to take a break and control but Chen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Maritimus swings around for an armbar but Chen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Maritimus's guard.
Maritimus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chen manages to get himself to full guard.

Chen feints and then cracks Maritimus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Maritimus down.

Chen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Maritimus's hands.
Maritimus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Maritimus shoots in looking for a takedown. Chen tries to sprawl out of it but Maritimus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd cheers as Maritimus lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chen doesn't seem phased though.

He tries to recover but Maritimus pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Chen is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
