Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lars Ruud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and White Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now as his entrance music. White Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruud takes the fight into the clinch.
Ruud tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Black looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Black lands a right hand.

It looks like Lars Ruud has been cut.
Black tries to circle away but Ruud has him pinned against the cage.
Black takes an elbow to the temple.

Black is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ruud is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Black to the mat. Black regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black wants to stand up but Ruud is controlling him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Black can do anything to dispel that myth.
Black is looking to stand back up but Ruud counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Black.
Ruud prevents Black from standing back up.
Black wants to stand back up but Ruud manages to pass into side control.

Black is looking to get back to his feet here but Ruud is keeping cool and he's managed to take Black's back.
Ruud biding his time, looking for the opening.
Ruud lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Black.

Ruud is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Black is taking damage to the body and head.

Black is keeping busy.
Black holding both Ruud 's hands and preventing any damage.

Ruud sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Black taps out!

In his post fight interview, Lars Ruud started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
