The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ringle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kidd stuffs the takedown attempt from Ringle. Ringle gets slowly back to his feet.

Ringle closes the distance and clinches.
Kidd is looking to break free of the clinch but Ringle has double underhooks.
Kidd looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Ringle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kidd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kidd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kidd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ringle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ringle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kidd avoids it really well and circles away.

Ringle closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kidd's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ringle passes Kidd's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kidd looks like he's trying to stand up.

Ringle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kidd is just riding it out for now. Ringle eventually gives up the hold.
This has been an exciting period of action!
