Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Steve Williams has been cut.
Williams shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Naves eats them both and turns towards Williams to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Naves fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Naves persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Naves has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Williams uses from the top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Naves is on top in guard.

Williams is looking to stand up but Naves won't let him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Naves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Williams has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucas Naves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Naves shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Naves was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Naves tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Naves postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Williams looks a forlorn figure.

Lucas Naves comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Naves winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
