These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bryan Christopher!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spat fails to land the takedown.
Spat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Christopher throws a head kick that misses.
Spat misses with the combination.
Spat misses with a double jab.
Christopher keeps Spat at a distance using the push kick.
Christopher lands a head kick. Spat smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Jack Spat has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spat throws a series of strikes that have Christopher backpedaling.

Christopher throws a series of punches but Spat moves out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Christopher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spat postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Christopher is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Spat, into his guard.

Spat is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Christopher defends well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bryan Christopher.
Christopher keeps the fight on the outside.
Spat doesn't manage to clinch there - Christopher circles away.

Bryan Christopher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Spat avoids the head kick by Christopher.
Christopher lands with a kick to the temple. Spat shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bryan Christopher dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Christopher throws a front kick that sends Spat stumbling back into the cage.
Spat lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Christopher circles away quickly and effectively.
Christopher throws a nice inside leg kick.

Christopher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spat misses with a series of wild punches.
Christopher throws a nice head kick!
Christopher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bryan Christopher seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Spat tries to clinch there but Christopher circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Spat closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Christopher's guard.

Spat is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Christopher has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Spat is looking to defend but Christopher has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Spat! Christopher pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Spat taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bryan Christopher!
Bryan Christopher really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Black Belt Nutrition #=========||=========# logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
