Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blayne Hawke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craven Morehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Send the Pain Below. Morehead is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Mystery of Chess Boxing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blayne Hawke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craven Morehead!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawke misses with a body shot.
Morehead throws a one two combo.
It looks like Blayne Hawke has been cut.
Craven Morehead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hawke digs a good body shot into Morehead's ribs.
Hawke throws a hook to the side of Morehead's head but Morehead sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hawke scores with a jab to the jaw.
Morehead shoots and misses
and Hawke counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morehead shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hawke but Hawke pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hawke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hawke lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hawke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Morehead.
Morehead clinches up with Hawke and pushes him back against the cage.
Morehead blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Morehead's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice uppercut lands for Hawke. That snapped Morehead's head back.
Hawke lands with a good body shot.
Hawke closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Hawke gets tackled into the cage by Morehead. Morehead maintains the clinch.
Morehead blocking some punches.
Hawke is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Morehead gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Morehead is trying to break the clinch but Hawke is controlling him.
Hawke tries for a takedown. No joy.
Morehead is trying to trip Hawke. He has hold of a leg but Hawke is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Morehead persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Morehead tries to free his leg and advance position but Hawke is retaining full guard.

Hawke is trying to control. Morehead wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Morehead has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hawke is working away from the top position though.
Morehead manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Hawke throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morehead shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hawke defends it nicely.
Blayne Hawke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craven Morehead.
Hawke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hawke wants it to stay on the feet.
Morehead throws a right and a left that Hawke avoids nicely.
Hawke misses with a wild body shot.
Morehead connects with a solid leg kick.
Morehead is looking to clinch.
Morehead moves out of range as Hawke strikes.
Morehead fails to land the takedown.
Hawke misses with a lunging right hand
and Morehead counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hawke's knee momentarily.
Hawke misses with a series of wild punches.

Morehead tries to clinch but Hawke is having none of it.
Morehead tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawke swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Morehead gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hawke makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Morehead is looking to clinch.
Hawke is looking to wear down Morehead with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hawke tries to sprawl but Morehead drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hawke is staying active underneath Morehead, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hawke tries to roll over but Morehead keeps him under control.
Hawke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Morehead pulls his head out easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morehead is trying to control the action in half guard but Hawke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hawke is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morehead's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morehead's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Craven Morehead will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Morehead tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hawke sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morehead somewhat.
Hawke avoids the body shot from Morehead.
A left and a right from Hawke both land. Nice combination.
Morehead connects with a high kick.
Morehead gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hawke.
Hawke throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hawke misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Morehead.

Sloppy strikes from Morehead. Those never looked like landing.
Hawke leaves Morehead with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Morehead throws a chopping leg kick but Hawke manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Morehead takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Hawke counters with a left and a right... And another left! Morehead is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
