Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamar Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jamar Willis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephan Kruger!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Willis moves away.
Willis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Willis tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kruger counters with a right hand to the body.
Kruger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Willis.
Willis wants to clinch up but Kruger keeps it at a distance.
Kruger lands with a nice combination. Willis backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Jamar Willis has been cut.

Willis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kruger, pushing him back against the cage.

Willis gets control of Kruger's arms and successfully pulls guard. Willis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Willis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kruger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Willis is looking to stand up but Kruger isn't so interested in that idea.
Kruger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kruger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Willis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kruger gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kruger stalks Willis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Willis's face. Willis staggers backwards, shaken.
Kruger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Willis misses with a series of wild punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kruger connects with an inside leg kick.
Kruger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Willis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kruger.

Willis is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Willis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Oh Willis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kruger throws a right and a left that Willis avoids nicely.
Kruger throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Willis's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Kruger dives in looking to finish as Willis flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Kruger's strikes! Kruger is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Willis's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Willis was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephan Kruger!
A relieved looking Stephan Kruger thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
