PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hadley Jagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane MacKallister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacKallister is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Four Horsemen by Metallica. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hadley Jagger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane MacKallister!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jagger tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
MacKallister stalks Jagger and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jagger's face. Jagger staggers backwards, shaken.
Jagger shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. MacKallister eats them both and turns towards Jagger to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

MacKallister gets the takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
MacKallister in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jagger gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jagger is looking to control MacKallister's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jagger avoid being mounted?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jagger wants to get back to full guard.

Jagger looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jagger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jagger looking for submissions off his back.
MacKallister trying to control from half guard but Jagger is working away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
MacKallister might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jagger kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
MacKallister content to control rather than advance.

Shane MacKallister has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jagger avoids the body shot from MacKallister.
Jagger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jagger keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from MacKallister.
MacKallister takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jagger throws a right and a left that MacKallister avoids nicely.
Jagger with a body punch. A glancing blow.
MacKallister misses with a body shot.

MacKallister fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jagger sprawls well initially but MacKallister persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jagger is not content to let MacKallister control the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
MacKallister thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jagger's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jagger trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, MacKallister cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jagger is looking to get to half guard.
MacKallister with the ground and pound from mount.
MacKallister lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


Jagger is rocked!
MacKallister loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jagger scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from MacKallister land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. MacKallister stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane MacKallister!
Shane MacKallister gave a mention to Global Nutritional (Q159) 90% ROR on Laundry in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
