Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Lakanik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conner Magavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Lakanik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Conner Magavin!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakanik lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Magavin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lakanik throws a sloppy head kick and Magavin moves out of range easily.
Lakanik misses with a body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Magavin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lakanik.
Lakanik throws a nice looking combination but Magavin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Magavin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Magavin moves out of range of the leg kick from Lakanik.
Lakanik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Magavin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lakanik fails in his attempt to clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lakanik displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Magavin throws out the jab.

Lakanik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lakanik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Magavin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lakanik can pounce on him.

Lakanik lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Magavin circles away quickly and effectively.

Lakanik moves into the clinch successfully.

Lakanik breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lakanik wants to clinch up but Magavin keeps it at a distance.

Magavin stuffs the takedown.
Magavin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Magavin throws a hook to the side of Lakanik's head but Lakanik sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

John Lakanik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lakanik checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Lakanik instigates a clinch.
Lakanik crunches a lovely knee into Magavin's ribcage.

Lakanik gets control of Magavin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lakanik will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Magavin throws a strike but Lakanik rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Magavin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Lakanik dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Lakanik leaves Magavin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lakanik throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Magavin counter with a right hand.
John Lakanik is winning the standup battle so far.
Magavin getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Magavin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lakanik stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A head kick misses from Lakanik.
Magavin checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lakanik turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Magavin gets the takedown into side control.
Magavin misses with the ground and pound.
Magavin throws an elbow but Lakanik slips to the side and avoids it well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lakanik avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Magavin.
Magavin lands a few punches from side control.

Magavin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Magavin is looking to take a break and control but Lakanik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Magavin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lakanik kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Magavin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lakanik is looking to stand up but Magavin isn't so interested in that idea.
Magavin throws an elbow that misses. Lakanik uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Magavin's guard. Nice move by Lakanik!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lakanik reaches up and holds on to Magavin to control the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lakanik can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Conner Magavin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Magavin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
