The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Murphy.
It looks like Ryu Takashi has been cut.
A big left from Murphy misses.
Murphy lands a left and a right that send Takashi crashing to the mat, dazed. Murphy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Takashi is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murphy scores with a hook.
Oh Takashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Erick Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takashi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Murphy avoids it really well and circles away.
Takashi walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Takashi limp body while Murphy jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
