Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Boy (Remix). Brandon Vera is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Vera is surviving well by controlling Cole's body position as best he can.
Cole could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cole is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vera can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cole looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vera with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Vera is trying to control Cole's posture but Cole avoids it.
Cole cracks Vera with a big right hand but Vera just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Cole seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vera for as long as he can get away with.
