Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladislav Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalashnikov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - Broken, Beat & Scarred. Bruce Li has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalashnikov tries to clinch up.
Kalashnikov blocks a low kick nicely.
Li fakes the leg kick and cracks Kalashnikov in the body.

and Li counters with a head kick. That will keep Kalashnikov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Li lands a big head kick that sends Kalashnikov tumbling to the mat! Li takes a step backwards and waves Kalashnikov back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Vladislav Kalashnikov has been cut.

Li swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Li pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Li slips under a jab from Kalashnikov.

Li keeps the fight on the outside.
The fighters circling - Kalashnikov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Li uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kalashnikov.

Li tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kalashnikov is able to avoid easily.

Kalashnikov throws a looping overhand right but Li ducks down to avoid it.
Li throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kalashnikov.

Kalashnikov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Li tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kalashnikov is in Li's guard.
Kalashnikov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Li wants to sweep here but Kalashnikov controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Vladislav Kalashnikov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Li goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Kalashnikov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Kalashnikov are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Kalashnikov works to advance to full mount. Li defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
