Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Tom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias darts in trying to clinch
and Tom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tom wanted to stand there but Dias had control of the position.
Dias keeping moving, preventing Tom from controlling successfully.
Dias has a closed guard, preventing Tom from standing up.
Tom won't allow Dias to sweep him here.

Lucas Dias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tom throws a shot from downtown. Dias moves away and avoids it.
Tom throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tom misses with a right hand
and Dias counters with a big head kick but Tom shrugs it off.
Dias shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tom pinned against the cage. Tom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dias lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tom backs up against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dias shoots for a double leg takedown but Tom sprawls well. He's pushed Dias's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tom paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Tom displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dias.

Dias wants to clinch but Tom slips to the side
and Tom counters with a shoot takedown. Dias fights it but they end up in guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lucas Dias wasn't active enough on the ground.
Tom misses with a takedown attempt - Dias sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Tom makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That was a close round but I would say that Vinicius Tom will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tom wants to control the pace but Dias is squirming around nicely.

Dias closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tom's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dias scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Dias won't allow Tom to get back to his feet.
Dias drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Dias as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Tom screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Dias! Nice submission victory there!
