Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Steeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Barnett counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barnett.

Barnett is trying to trip Steeves. He has hold of a leg but Steeves is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Barnett persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Barnett drops back looking for a leg! Steeves is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steeves manages to kick Barnett off! Barnett jumps back into Steeves's guard.

Barnett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steeves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Barnett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steeves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Barnett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Steeves manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barnett has Steeves in his guard.

Steeves is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Barnett has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Steeves is looking to defend but Barnett has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Steeves! Barnett pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Steeves taps out and this one is all over!
