The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crizanto doesn't manage to clinch there - Connell circles away.
Connell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Crizanto is looking to clinch but Connell is avoiding it.
Desmond Connell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Connell avoids the head kick by Crizanto.

It looks like Donatello Crizanto has been cut.
Connell throws a shot from downtown. Crizanto moves away and avoids it.

Crizanto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Connell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Crizanto lands a leg kick that knocks Connell off balance momentarily.

Crizanto moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Crizanto connects with a right hand. Connell shakes it off.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Connell!
Crizanto with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Connell to score with a decent uppercut.
Crizanto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Connell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crizanto moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Crizanto feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Connells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Connell misses with a two punch combination.

Crizanto moves into the clinch.
Crizanto landing knees to the head.

Connell is rocked!
Crizanto swings wildly with an uppercut but Connell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oh Connell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crizanto throws a head punch that misses.
A head punch on the inside from Crizanto fails to land.
Crizanto's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Crizanto tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Connell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Crizanto misses with a short punch on the inside.
Crizanto doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Crizanto has a couple of punches blocked by Connell.
Connell tries to break free but Crizanto pushes him back against the cage.
Crizanto swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Connell blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Come on Crizanto - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Crizanto digs a right hand into Connell's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Connell's gas tank.
Crizanto lands an elbow inside.
Crizanto jerks Connell's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Connell drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Crizanto goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Crizanto because Connell was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
